Bouldering is a form of climbing that relies on padded flooring rather than ropes and harnesses for protection. Climbers generally climb between 10 and 15 feet high and for that reason, no additional equipment other than the padded floor is needed. This class is ideal for climbers who are new to the sport and want to establish a dependable foundation of skills.
This 90-minute, in-depth guide to bouldering teaches participants how to warm up for their climbing session, what strategies to use on and off the wall, and other valuable technical climbing skills. In addition to these core skills, participants will learn how to fall and land properly, structure weekly climbing sessions, and observe common climbing etiquette.
INTRO TO CLIMBING
This course is perfect for new climbers who want to take advantage of every part of the facility. After completing this course, students will know how to top rope belay, operate the facility’s auto-belay stations, and climb on the bouldering wall.
