The Steel Shop, our newest gym, is located in the historic Frenchtown neighborhood of St. Charles. You can find us behind The Foundry Art Centre, just off the Katy Trail.

Our flagship gym, the Power Plant, is located in Downtown St. Louis, one block East of Lafayette Square. The gym is part of the historic City Hospital complex. Look for the smokestack.

What is Climb So iLL?

Climb So iLL provides the St. Louis area with two world-class rock climbing gyms – the Power Plant in St. Louis and the Steel Shop in St. Charles.

Reach new heights on our climbing walls, find your balance in our yoga classes, and get your heart pumping in one of our fully-equipped fitness areas.

No matter your age or ability level – there is a place for you.

What can I expect from a day of summer camp?

Campers engage in several activities throughout the day. They learn proper climbing etiquette and technique and develop these skills over the week.

They also play games such as dodgeball, tug-of-war, and gaga ball. These are supplemented with time for arts and crafts and other downtime activities.

Campers are supervised at all times by our team of dedicated counselors.

What should my camper bring for a day of summer camp?

We encourage parents to pack a snack and water bottle for their climber. We recommend that all climbers come to the gym in close-toed tennis shoes.

We will provide all the necessary climbing equipment (climbing shoes, climbing harness, etc.).

Can I drop my camper off early?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide early drop-off for our A.M. or P.M. summer camp sessions.

For those who have signed up for our A.M. summer camp sessions, the doors to the climbing gym will open at 9:00 a.m. Climb So iLL opens its doors to members and the public at 11:00 a.m.

Please call the gym if you need assistance entering the Power Plant in St. Louis or Steel Shop in St. Charles‬.

Where can I complete my camper's waiver?

You can complete a waiver online (Power Plant or Steel Shop). We will need this form on file before your climber’s first day of camp.

The energy, independence, and empowerment this camp is fostering in these girls just rocks! The space is amazing visually as well. As an artist, I was impressed by some of the design elements incorporated into the climbing surfaces. What a gem this place is!

Words from my 11 year old: "It's amazing. We should climb everyday there." My 10 year old says, "It's good because there are a lot of auto-belays and a lot of climbing areas." My 8 year old says, "We climbed a lot and I met some new friends." It really is a great climbing space.
